Sunday has been a sad day for Kim and I. This morning I went to give Rocky and Baxter their morning treat and Baxter was up and full of energy and busting to eat something, but Rocky didn't come up.
We've both been expecting this to a degree since Beagles don't typically have long life spans and Rocky was nearing his 11th year but he passed sometime last night. He ate just fine last night at feeding and was perfectly fine during the day yesterday. We can only guess that he had a heart attack or stroke in the night.
Rocky has been one of the best dogs I have ever had and he's been with Kim and I since we lived at Dorsey St. We will miss him and know that little Baxter will as well. We have decided to bring Baxter in now and see if we can get him to adapt. I gave him a warm bath this afternoon and he was as good as he has ever been. He has just laid around this afternoon which wouldn't be much different than a normal day. He'll stay in the basement at night and we'll see if we can get him to potty train to have him join our "pack". Rocky was awesome little dog and we will miss him very much. I hate days like this....I hope God takes care of our little friends that we lose during our years. We love you Rock...
