Adorable...

Is it any wonder why this little girl has our hearts?

We've got a big weekend planned with a cookout for Elizabeth prior to leaving for college and just some around the house chores and bike riding to do this weekend as well.

We're so glad Friday is here but I'm a little sad as well looking back since this is my Papa's birthday. He would have been 84 years old on Friday. I still miss him more than anyone in my family really knows and the effect that he had on my life is so profound. I know life where he is - is infinitely better than it is here but for a selfish moment, I want him back so he can hold Reese and kiss her cheeks.

But he will, one day.......

love the pictures! sorry your papa isn't here to meet reese. but i bet he met her before she came down. my sophie was born on the 10th anniversary of my papa shu's passing. i think it's a way they can share a connection since they didn't meet in their earthly lives. i'm sure it was the same kind of connection for reese and papa. :)

Adam,I know it's been quite sometime now, but your Grandmother Lucille passed away on this 7th in 1994. Yes Son, Papa and Lucille would have spoiled this little lady for sure!Just like they spoiled you! They are not with us any more but I think they expect us Grand Parents to spoil Reese rotten anyway in their place! So! Chuck,Nancy and Emily "LET THE SPOILING BEGIN!"

Yes, in deed he will.....but I think he has probably already done that even before we did! But I'm like you....today is a bittersweet day....and every time I look at Reese either while holding her or just reading the blog...I think of how proud Daddy (Papa) would have been of her and and just how much he would have enjoyed her! You were his first grand baby and his pride and joy! No matter what you did he thought it was just dandy! (Brat)! LOL.....I loved you anyway! Can't wait to love on Reese on Saturday!

Adam, I am sure your Papa Hall would have had Reese spoiled good.
I am so happy for both of you. Trust me there is nothing sweeter than a precious little girl to love. So hold her close and thank God every day for the wonderful blessing he has given you.
